Once, last year at a local mixed race gathering, I openly admitted my past racial prejudices (which I have put in efforts to understand its source) and most people showed discomfort or lack of interest and either slowly moved away or changed the topic all together. There was one person who was open to this conversation, perhaps because his was also part Asian like me, I don't know. We need more opportunity to share and discuss our experiences with out judgment.
