I've noticed a lot more POC faces in advertisements lately; particularly those of high production value that were clearly developed by larger ad firms. Whether or not these are the big 5 or whatever the ad world is shaped like these days, I have no idea, but I feel like the Obama effect really has made these people realize they are in slightly different times.

However, its not clear to me they know how to make their broaden their message for more diverse audiences. I think they think that creative casting, like the Asian guy doing the William Shatner immitation is all it takes. While that was pretty funny (and the Asian guy wasnt painted as nerdy, and he was married to an Asian female) I think there is a nuanced view they still arent getting.
